I'll start this review in a strange way, talking about the label of this band. This is the second release of Metal Heaven label which is acctually the metal "department" of AOR Heaven records.So...there are labels that try to hang on from very average bands to become something great..there are labels that release only popular music and bands that will only bring them more money, with non-quality music, and there'se also labels that try to find talents but it seems they are not talented for talent-hunters :).Besides all these, there are labels like AOR/Metal Heaven that gives us only the best of the best,of the talents of out music world.Great Quality of Music Only! I don't think that this label will be rich (cause they dont sell pop-shit) but for sure they will be responsible for many of the best releases in the music history of this millenium, and mark my words cause after some decades this label's album will be monumentum. And for some of you that think only dirty..no AOR/Metal heaven is not paying me, hahahaha (I don't even have stocks of the company! I'm telling the truth!) So let's get to the band Altaria and their album Divinity. As I read in the press-info,this is not their debut,it's their 2nd album. They are ex-members of Blindside band together with Sonata Arctica's guitarist Jani Liimatainen ( a fantastic finish band) and Emppu Vuorinen (Nightwish). Now with a fresh line up they are back with a new album mixed at the famous Tico Tico studios by Anti Kortelainen (Sonata Arctica,Sentenced) so we are talking for brilliant crystal sound, since there was also Mika Jussila (Stratovarius) involved in the mastering at the also famous Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. Musically Altaria are following the melodic paths of heavy/power metal,in the best way Finnish bans know how to do it,and believe me they are perfect in this :) Great melodies, very well worked songs, beautiful lyrics and the whole listening of this album is like a trip in skies. It will cheer you up in your bad times for sure! Note that the limited first edition of the cd will be available in digipack format with a bonus cover version of Accept's "Balls To The Wall" :).
